Covenant Grove's mission is to provide an alternative to conventional horse boarding facilities by offering the horse owner the opportunity and privilege to be directly involved in the care of these beautiful animals. Our horse boarding co-op community is driven to provide the best care possible for our horses, while fostering community among each other.
How it Works:
Each co-op member works one evening shift per week, with a partner, and one week-end (Friday PM, Saturday AM and PM, and Sunday AM) every six weeks. Evening shifts include feeding, turning out (summer) or bringing in (winter), cleaning and filling water troughs / buckets, cleaning stalls, wash stalls, and the barn aisle. Time commitment is approximately 3 hours per week for the evening shift, and two morning shifts and two evening shifts on the assigned week-end. Owners pay for their own grain and supplements, and hay is available to purchase on the farm. Shavings are provided. Swapping shifts with other members, if a scheduling conflict comes up, happens frequently and there is almost always someone willing to swap.
By working together, we can keep rates reasonable when compared to conventional horse boarding operations.
Stall Board (with daily or nightly turn-out) Rate: $285.00/month
Pasture Board Rate: $195/month
